Beauprez ripe for the breaking?
Nonpartisan report: Thomas 'a credible' foe in House battle

Democrats hoping to knock off a Republican incumbent this fall need look no further than Colorado's 7th Congressional District, a Washington-based political newsletter said.
"This race is one to watch nationwide," said Nathan Gonzales, an editor with The Rothenberg Political Report, a nonpartisan newsletter that analyzes elections across the nation.
Gonzales, who authored a report published Friday, wrote that "the tide may be running against (Republican incumbent Bob Beauprez) much more this time" in his battle against Jefferson County District Attorney Dave Thomas, his Democratic opponent.
Beauprez's razor-thin victory two years ago, and the district's nearly equal division between Republicans, Democrats and Independents in this highly partisan election year, were among the reasons cited for predicting incumbency won't be enough.
