I have a friend who is sitting right next to me from Craig, CO. I want to share what I heard from him. He makes 6 hours commute to Denver every other week for therapy that I participate with him and one other local guy.
He works for a mining company repairing trucks and cleaning the garage in Hayden. The boss there told him that there isn't simply enough money for overtime. The workers ask if there will ever be any money back. The boss doesn't know.
Also, in his area, at a farm in Craig, many have lost their property from foreclosure and the people there have been moving to apartments or rental house. Most cannot afford the high taxes there.
One thing he said that he directly blames Chimp for all the problems. He is a devout Christian, and from what I understand will not be voting for Chimp this year. That is a very encouraging sign. Oh yeah, he is an union member (although he has been for a few months)
