Colorado should be proud.
Sure, the state went to Bush -- I'll start yelling about that once the smoke clears.

Locally, we've done great things!

Salazar is going to the senate. We picked up a House seat. FasTracks -- Yes. We took the state house!

Hell yes. A big fat silver lining if there ever was one...

1. Yes, good news
Though I'm a bit pissed at all the 36 nay-sayers: "Right idea, wrong year." Or worse, "I want Kerry to get all 9 votes!"

Trying not to be bitter, trying not to be cynical. Want to transfer to a Canadian school eventhough I'm a mere 20 weeks from being done with my Masters...

3. Wow! The brothers Salazar! John in Congress and Ken in Senate.
Congrats!

And I should add, thank you MoveOn-dot-org for allowing me to contribute $$ to their campaigns.

4. I Heard On The Radio This Morning...
...that we wone the State House because voters realized that the GOP-controlled legislature was unable to solve the state's budget woes. If we can straighten things out in the next term, thay will put us in good shape to re-take the Governor's Mansion in 2006.

5. it will be interesting to see how Owens reacts
Will he work with the new Congress? Or will he obstruct?

Colorado is in bad shape and something needs to be done - it's heartening to see that voters - at least locally - understand this. It gives me hope.

6. A Quick Way To Tell...
...will be to see who he nominates to replace Ken Salazar as AG. If he tried to nominate a Repug, he may not get it through the Dem-controlled Senate. But if he's smart, he'll nominate a good Democrat, like Tom Strickland.

7. My warmest congratulations to Colorado!!
You've voted in Ken Salazar against Pete Coors! Way to go! And you've turned over your state legislature too.

Regards from Massachusetts . . . (from one who has recently arrived family now living in Colorado)
