4. We are considering the Ski Ranch and the Scandanavian Lodge
I would like to stay at the Ski Ranch if it's decent. There isn't a lot of info on it available. Is one better than the other? Is the Ski Ranch nice? It gets a very good rating at Steamboat.com while the Comfort Inn gets excellent. What do you think? Also how long to drive there from Denver? Anything else I should know? Thanks

5. 3 hr. drive from denver
depending on weather. i don't know too much about lodging, i lived there, didn't stay there. never heard of the ski ranch, places change owners and names a lot. i would stay somewhere downtown, you'll get a better feel for the place. the resort village at the base of the mountain is only good if you only ski and dint have wheels. the comfort inn is new and on the outskirts of town. dint pay too much attention to the ratings those can be bought. someone mentioned the home ranch on the other thread, if you can afford it it is one of the most beautiful places in colorado, but VERY expensive.
