A local talk show host on Boulder's AM760 AAR.
That's what Dusty Saunders said will happen in January in today's Rocky Mt. News. Who could it be? Enid Goldstein? Denie Newsom? Or maybe somebody from the Independence Institute - ugh!

Whatever, I wish they would have fewer tape delays of Air America.

2. Did they mention if it was a weekday or weekend time slot?
I was thinking that maybe it was an overnight weekday when they have the reruns. But then, the weekend daytime slots are wide open. That would be nice, too. Guy James is moving to Saturdaye evening in January. It would be nice to have a weekend afternoon broadcast to discuss all the White House Friday night data dumps.

I wonder how long of a contract Clear Channel has with Ed Schultz. I'm not a fan. He poo-pooed discussion of election fraud right after the election and cut people off when they tried to discuss it. Now he's on the band wagon. I don't listen to him unless I'm out driving and am desperate. :D

3. Here is the normal weekday schedule.
Mid-2am: The Majority Report
2-5am: The Al Franken Show
5-7am: The Randi Rhodes Show
7-10am: Morning Sedition
10am-1pm: The Al Franken Show
1-4pm: The Ed Schultz Show
4-8pm: The Randi Rhodes Show
8-11pm: Phil Hendrie
11pm-Mid: The Majority Report

I have never listened to Phil Hendrie. And I usually turn off Ed Schultz. At least Al Franken is live.

4. We get Malloy in the wee hours, too
I think he's around midnight or 1. Sometimes we get Majority Report instead of Malloy.

I listen to Malloy on the net and then catch an hour or so of Bernie Ward's streaming out of California. So I'm not positive about when we get Malloy on the local radio.

10. So is Ed
from 1-4pm MT. I listen 2-5pm CT most every afternoon.

Ed has the potential to reach out to the Heartland. Franken/AA really has no effect right now in rural areas. Ed can talk the Plains/Midwest talk on their terms. Read his book for more.

5. Schultz totally hates moveon...too. I was shocked at the animosity
between Schultz and Randi Rhodes, which to air publically just seemed very unprofessional, but both were doing it. Now, i have to think I've seen firsthand from Schultz what led to RR's disgust.

But, I'd still listen to him over that damned Phl Hendrie. Will no one tell me why they like him? He's a "G.D." REPUG and doesn't even try to hide it!

6. I didn't know that about Schultz/Moveon
But I did hear Randi say that Schultz's task was to help get Daschle reelected. And he didn't get the job done. I got the impression that Randi thought Schultz didn't do enough up there in the upper midwest where he could have had greater influence. I don't listen to Schultz often. So I don't know if he tried to be effective. All I know is that I don't recall him spending time talking about Daschle when I tuned in. And he literally poo-pooed any talk of election fraud right after the election.

9. He did quite a bit
While he just left his regional show which reached most of South Dakota, he did all he could on his morning show in the summer and fall running up to the election.

It was so tight and dirty, his voice alone is not enough to reach out with all the dirty money that was in the Thune/Daschle race. Ed did his best but Daschle was just outslimed from outside intrests.

11. I never heard his morning show
So thanks for the information. I hope the people of SD are happy with Thune and his mighty rubber stamp. They stand to suffer with the rest of us. Do you know what Daschle plans on doing with his life from here on out?

8. Do no think so
He has nothing against MoveOn, just that one email message that they "own" the Democratic Party.

He has a point, the party is made up of more than just MoveOn supporters. I thought that email was over the top even though I support much of what Moveon does.

7. Need proof
He has done MANY, MANY shows on it before. He even mentioned on air to send him information, HARD evidence of fraud. Speculation does not cut it.

12. Right after the election I heard him hang up on folks
...when they wanted to discuss the election fraud about the e-voting machines. That's all I can say. I listened, he hung up on people and I would turn off the radio. Recently, he's jumped onto it. But it was disheartening to not explore it right after the election when time was crucial. I wouldn't expect people calling in right after 11/2 to have absolute proof. That's when I expected Dem radio folks to encourage people to call in about it - encourage them to talk about their experiences and such. It's a little late for him to have credibility on this issue with me. He blew it because he wasn't even looking for proof when he should have been in the forefront. The MSN wasn't going to do it.
