Westword chickens out.

On May 12 Westword, a Denver free newspaper, published a very unflattering cartoon of Gov. Owens' marital reconciliation. I've been waiting for them to put it on their web site. Well, they finally updated Kenny B.'s 'Worst Case Scenario' and omitted that week's cartoon altogether.

Did Westword back down to a threat?

As in, "Many people think our weekly paper is a progressive publication, but we're really 'counterintuitive' — remember the old Rolling Stone 'Perception. Reality.' brochure that juxtaposed tie-dyed hippie images with button-down yuppie Republican ones? That's us.

I sent them an e-mail. Patricia Calhoun said that it was a "technological glitch."
