Light rail expansion - how far north will it go?
Last year, CO voters approved the Northwest Corridor light rail expansion.

I've heard talk that they are considering expanding it farther north as one of many transportation options to either Loveland or Fort Collins.

Has anyone heard any additional details about this?

1. Fast Trax
The Fast Trax initiative that got approved goes only as far as Longmont via Boulder.

2. Right. Thanks, but I was wondering about future proposals.
I thought that CDOT was looking at putting together a better mass trans. system further north... have you heard anything concerning this?

3. CDOT web site.
I've haven't read it all but CDOT did put together some
extensive plans for transit concerns for the year 2030.

You might want to check out the CDOT web site.

Under planning, I can't find a simple summary of it tho.

4. The fastrax line to 160th & Colorado will be completed in 2010.
160th is highway 7, the road that runs between Brighton/Lafayette/Boulder. This is the northern terminus of the line.

There are plans, but only plans, to extend this line to Longmont along the existing railroad track. This is NOT part of the voter-approved fastrax.
