I don't know of any polls, they must be getting the idea that it will be competitive from somewhere. Tancredo has really pissed off the Hispanic community with his proposed 5% tax on money transfers to foreign countries - if the Hispanic vote gets out, Conti may pull off an upset.
"In the House races, Democrat State Rep. John Salazar cleared the field for CO-3 (open seat) at the Democratic Convention. He will face one of four (perhaps five, depending on the fate of GOP Sheriff Dan Corsentino's petitions) Republicans in the General Election. With Salazar a strong candidate, expect this race to be very competitive, potentially a Democratic pickup. In CO-4 Stan Matsunaka will face "The Queen of Straights", Marilyn Musgrave, in a rematch of their 2002 race. This should prove to be competitive as well. In CO-6 Joanna Conti (D), who is truly a wonderful lady, will square off against GOP Congressman Tom Tancredo. Conti has been doing better than expected, and might even pull off an upset if things break her way. Finally, in CO-7 a marquee matchup between Congressman Bob "122 votes" Beauprez and Democrat Dave Thomas (no relation to Wendy's) will occur in November. All five of these races should prove competitive. "
