I just attended a Ritter/Beauprez debate in Rifle. (Dems in this area often have to drive for hours between events like this). Beauprez referred (at least three times) to Mr. Ritter's running mate as being from the 'City and County of Denver'. Like it was a BAD thing to be from the 'City and County of Denver'. Now, that may have played well out here in po-bunk (3/4 full auditorium at Rifle High School)- but how do you feel over in the metro area about the words 'City and County of Denver' used as some sort of attempt at insult? Last time I checked you Front Range folks had us beat population and voter reg./wise. And why would a person hoping to reside in the governor's house in Denver, slam Denver? Bill Ritter did great and we had an excellent turnout. Take pity on those of us living in the reddest of red in Colorado. Please help elect Bill Ritter. Between the fundies and the gas wells, encana, haliburton, Please Denver area, PLEASE help us.... I worked hard on John Salazar's campaign , then that awful detainee bill vote last week. I was a Miles supporter but worked for Ken Salazar to get elected. Then, the Lieberman support and the detainee bill. I was sooo discouraged last week. The aspens are changing out here (in clusters) - but Colorado is changing too. We can go blue this cycle. Dear 'City and County of Denver' please work hard for this election. Then, take a drive over to the western slope. I know that many of you would be shocked to see the wells, and the impact. Come on over the passes, and we'll go to the hot pool or the vapor caves for fun! Ken Gordon was here for an event today - hope you support him , too!! Breakfast fundraiser w/Ritter in the a.m. and candidate forum tomorrow night. We are working so hard out here - but we need YOUR numbers for the change that can occur.
