More snow.
Sigh.

I'm not completely dug out from the last storm! My neighbor, sweetheart that he is, used his snowblower to clear our cul-de-sac. It was nice to have access to our drive, but much of the snow went onto my sidewalk. :P

Anyway, I was just out & overheard someone say that there are blizzard white-out conditions in Castlerock. I'm in Boulder & it's raining. We're leaving work early & hope to find some groceries at the store. Haven't been there since Christmas Eve & it was wiped out.

Our system is so much more fragile than most people think.

1. Broke my snow shovel handle and only one I could find in
Denver (4 Ace Hardwares, Sears, three Home Depots) was a child's shovel at Bed, Bath & Beyond. Believe it or not, I bought it since it was pretty darned sturdy and I figure better than nothing to stick in the car. Otherwise, I guess I'll use my garden shovel.

Grocery stores seem pretty well stocked, though. A line was forming to get into Blockbusters just before they opened, though...LOL

3. I figure I'll build on my neighbor's sympathy...

so he just might blow the snow out of my drive!

That little shovel, though, would have been mighty handy to push the 20 plus inches of snow off the top of the car--last time it took me an hour just to dig my car out from under the deluge...

4. We're getting dumped on again tonight
I've shoveled three inches twice already and it's past time to do it again.

5. Dish is out -- no TV. Cry.
...It's not the unit on the garage -- no snow on it. Must be atmospheric. x(

...Favorite VHS home movie tape snapped. It must be almost 20 years old. :P

...Blockbuster didn't update our Que, so no new movies from them.

...HOWEVER, Safeway had celery & carrots! :7

So now we are listening to & watching Joe Satriani's Super Colossal. B-)

Holy crap, he's good!

Joe,

:yourock:

6. LOL.... you too??

Our DISH is completely gone. Still no signals. We heard the atmospheric excuse... then the clouds excuse... then the snow must have moved your dish excuse...

Think they all had the same notecards to read from. I asked one customer service person where do I send pics of my Dish & Receiver in the snow on fire. He said it wouldn't be the first time someone has sent pics like that.

We're dumping fucking DISH. Had it for 10 years. We're going to Comcast.

Glad to hear ya' "survived". :hi:

Still no trash pickup. Street still not plowed. We did the mad dash to grocery store (like everyone else) before "round #2". Discovered some Breads that I didn't know they even made.

At least the clouds are gone and the sun is shining!!!

7. Lovely photo!
"Discovered some Breads that I didn't know they even made."

I was in King Soopers yesterday. Their dairy section is wiped out, but plenty of Silk. ;) While we were there they had two announcements that bananas were on sale. I figure they finally got their trucks in & probably got two weeks worth of bananas. Same with fresh cut flowers.

Our streets actually got plowed. Not sure why they didn't get plowed after the first snow dump, but am just glad they finally got around to it.
