Denver restaurants with private rooms?
Hi Denverites!

There is a possibility I may be in the area around Labor Day weekend. I'm rounding up a bunch of cousins for my family history book, and I'd like to find a restaurant with a private room so we can socialize, and I can scan their old photos, letters, etc.

Some of the cousins live in Brighton, some are in Greeley, and one is in Pueblo, so I'm thinking Central Denver will be our best compromise for location. I'm trying to find a place that won't charge us a mint just for the use of the room.

Any ideas? Thanks!

1. racines
They have a great food selection, and I beleieve you can reserve a private room. It is centrally located near I 25. Another place I could think of is east side kosher deli. They have 2 private rooms and their menu is pretty continential.

Racines might be more our speed.

I haven't met these folks before. You never know if you might have a racist in the bunch. If you say "deli", some people might turn their nose up at it automatically, unfortunately. I try not to bring up politics or religion during these meetings that I set up, but sometimes I find out a little more than I want to know about how hateful people (even relatives) can be.

I found a Chammps in Littleton that looks like they might work too. If you have any other suggestions, please let me know.

4. Good suggestion!
I'd venture to guess we'll have a few meat eaters in the bunch.

Chammps is a chain, but they have a decent sized room, and seem pretty willing to work with me so far.

This is what came up when I did a google, so I am assuming that they all have a private room.

Here are some suggestions. Out of these, I would recommend the Blake Street Tavern in a cool part of LoDo, or perhaps one of the steak restaurants. If you think that your relative are open to it, the Mercury Cafe is like a blast from the past. www.mercurycafe.com

They have mostly organic fare, along with many vegetarian items. Oftentimes, there is entertainment, a songstress or a band or a reader of poetry. Very, very eclectic place and it is one of my favorites, but I like the period of the 60's and 70's.

This sounds like fun! If you need any other help, just send me a pm!

8. Governors Park
I haven't been there in a long time, but they used to have a nice sunny room - attended many a private parties there and had my baby shower there.
