KKZN has dropped the Thom Hartmann radio program

I sent them a note via the station even though I doubt it will do any good.

I remember when practically all the talk was liberal. Then it disappeared completely for many, many years. With the advent of the internet and online streaming, it was great to tune into liberal voices. Seems like that's how I'll be listening again. The new KKZN lineup is too much carnival barking for my taste.

the reason was they wanted to be "more live", which is BS, cuz Tom was live. Anyway, I think they definately wanted Ed Schultz live, but Randi I can live without and will. She's so unbelievably rude and talks about herself more than anything. Luckily I can listen on line at home to Tom.

You're right, e-mail won't do any good, at least until they see some results. But I imagine Ed will do well in the AM slot. No one I know can stand Randi, they like NPR and will switch completely.

2. They could put Thom in Alan Colmes' spot at night

But I really like listening to Thom in the morning. I've got his broadcast streaming right now.

Mostly, I'll hear Randi when I'm in the car. That's when I usually get out to shop and run my errands. A few minutes here and there. Otherwise, I don't seek out her show for the reasons you pointed out.

Jay Marvin turns me off. I listened to him for a while but I just don't like his attitude. I heard that he advocated for Ed and against Thom. I read that he said he doesn't like Thom. What the heck is not to like?! It's got more to do with Jay and Ed being part of the Jones network. So, I've switched to NPR at that hour, too.

Edit - I hope they keep Rachel Maddow.

Rachel Maddow is still on in the 7pm to 9pm slot. In March, her show is going from two to three hours. KKZN should put her on live from 4pm to 7pm. That would be perfect.

I'm going to miss Thom Hartmann's show, especially Brunch with Bernie.
