Where is Fitsimmons Army Hospital?
I think it is in the former Lowry Air Force Base but I am not sure, exactly.

3. It USED to be on E. Colfax ~
I think they shut it down a while ago. I once spent a week in there. The only highlight was when my girlfriend and I snuck up onto the roof and went at it!

More than you wanted to know, I'm sure.

Anyways, I think Fitzsimmon's defunct now.

8. The VA Hospital is still active.
It is on the Northeast corner of Peoria and East Colfax. All sorts of new construction. CU Medical Center is in the process of moving there. There is a new cancer center in operation.

We won't know the exact time and location of Kerry & Edward's visit until maybe Tuesday. I would assume that it would be in front of the old hospital, but it may be somewhere else.

The press found out about this before the Arapahoe County Democratic Party. But what else is new?

6. The campus for part of CU Health Sciences Center is located there now
On Colfax, just east of Peoria.

Used to be where I went for my cornea treatment.

No more.

It's a HUGE area........ what part of it is where Kerry is supposed to be?

Kanary

7. I was at Fitz for six months as a patient in 1984.
Treated for the Big C when I was in the Army. They did right by me. I was sorry to hear it closed but it was an old facility.

14. My personal Fitz story....I trained at FItz during my time in the Army
1986-1987, 91C school. Got out of the Army, moved to Denver 1989. Worked at University Hospital for a while a couple of years ago, and went for computer system training in the Fitzsimmons building. It was surreal. Talk about full circle. MKJ
