Sunday in the park in Denver...
DUers -- c'mon over and say hello during the DNC Marketplace at Civic Center Park on Sunday (10am-4pm). I'd hoped to be able to get to the meetup at Racine's, but that's not looking likely. We'd already bought booth space at the market, so I do have to be there; after that, though, I'm getting up close and personal with some percoset for the knee I tried to destroy last Friday. Anyway, we'll be in Area C, look for displays with my avatar. You don't even have to buy anything, just come by and visit. Yes, I'm still kinda new to DU, but I'm thinking that a DUer network in this particular swing state could be an awesome thing!

See you Sunday!

1. well, madamesilverspurs- I wore one of my buttons yesterday!
it was this one- my favorite as I have a passion for quotes.

You know the one that goes "when fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in a flag and carrying a Cross." I think that it really describes the current state of our country.

Now I am a carrier for the Post Office, but I am recovering from rotator cuff surgery, so I haven't done my official job since before Christmas. They are letting me work inside, though. While working at the side door yesterday, a man asked me what my button meant. I replied something along the line of "it is a cool quote from Sinclair Lewis and I think that he describes the state of our country at this time.

His response surprised me. He stated how offended he was by it and how he is a good Christian and patriotic American, to which I replied, as I am also, so this situation of our country at this time bothers me. I guess that being in a public kind of job, I shouldn't have even attempted to wear my opinion for all to see, but geez!

It is just so blatantly obvious to me, I find it unbelievable that others can be offended by the truth.

Oh well, maybe someone will learn something from it. I just had to give you an update.

It was really nice meeting you!
