KGNU’s coverage of the historic inauguration of Barack Obama as 44^th President of the United States begins at 9:00 AM (MST) with a special edition of Democracy Now! live from Washington, DC. Amy Goodman and her team will have interviews, analysis and live coverage of the swearing-in ceremony and Obama’s inaugural address.
KGNU’s national call-in program will begin immediately after the Obama speech, at approximately 11:30 AM (MST). Pacifica station WPFW in Washington, DC, will link to KGNU during the broadcast in order to feature more voices from the scene of the inauguration.
Listeners throughout the metro area--and to Pacifica affiliate stations across the country and DU population on the web and/or with i-Phone -- will be able to call in to KGNU’s national broadcast via a toll-free number (1-800-737-3030) and share their thoughts and feelings on this historic occasion.
