Yesterday, while discussing President Barack Obama's visit to Denver to sign the economic recovery bill, Denver's 630 KHOW-AM's Peter Boyles repeatedly referred to one of the ceremony attendees, Democratic U.S. Rep. Diana DeGette of Denver, as "Vagina DeJet" and "Vagina DeGette."

Do you consider Boyles' insulting and offensive references to one of our elected representatives an appropriate use of public airwaves? Call KHOW and its owner, Clear Channel Communications Inc., and ask their executives to explain whether they consider Boyles' speech to be a responsible use of the airwaves, and, if not, what they plan to do about it.

I don't listen to 630, and neither does my Dad, who's a Blue Dog....

2. I heard that yesterday morning and wrote to the station

He did sound contrite by the time I tuned in for a few minutes this morning. I did hear him respond to a caller telling her that he did it because he thought it was funny. But I didn't ever hear why he started doing it beyond that.

Today he also said that he's in the process of a divorce. He and his second wife have been married for a very long time. She helped him get sober and on his feet way back when. I started listening to him off and on since he and Bob lee had a show back in the 70s. Seems like ever since he fixated daily for years on the Jon Benet Ramsey case, Boyles has been slipping to the right. When you start taking World Net Daily seriously, you know things have gone very wrong.

He's even taken all the silly rumors about Obama's legitimacy for the presidency as valid investigations. He's steered his analytical mind and love of history into a terminally stupid direction. Not that I'd want him to drink and drug again. But he was way more interesting decades ago when he had an open mind.
