Snow is really swirling here today...

I hope you all stay safe. I saw that it's going to be warming up on Saturday and reach into the 50s by Sunday.

We'll just shovel a narrow path from the front door to the street and leave the rest for the sun goddess.

2. I'm glad to hear that you'll be leaving early
The snow is really swirling around leaving poor visibility out my window here at the house. Let us know that you got home safe.

3. We Really Needed This Snow
love these spring snows and the magic of watching lawns go from brown to green in a few short days.

6. So true!
I want to get out there and just make a narrow path from the door to the street. Maybe if the wind dies down I can get out for a few minutes.

The other day I heard we had less than 2" of moisture all February. So, like you say, we need this badly. And it'll be so pretty to be outside in it later.

No birds at the feeder except earlier a pair of Flickers were out there. I don't expect any of the regular customers to be back feeding until this blows over. I'm prepared with lots of different seeds!

Take care!

12. I shoveled my walks today
and now when I look out you can't even tell,I am not going to shovel again until the snow stops. Which should be by tomorrow morning.

13. Ours didn't get too snowed over right after the first clearing
But it's starting to build up now. I might go out after Countdown and clear it again. This should be easier than before.

One area of our roof has a heck of a tall drift.

14. I waited a good long time before I went out and shovled the first time
Like I said, I am waiting until tomorrow to shovel again. Then let he sun do all the rest.

15. We just got back in
Hubby and I went back over the little path I cleared earlier and he went a little further to the mailbox. Then I made a path between the side door of the house and the side door of the garage - virgin territory.

Like you say - it's all up to the sun now. At least I don't see the blizzard warning for 10 PM till 1 AM anymore. So this storm shifted, is moving faster than at first or just plain ran out of snow.

Take care!

5. It's a frickin' blizzard here!
My dog loves it!! He's so funny in the snow! He runs wildy around the yard & sticks his head down in the snow & comes up all frosty. We were just out & now he's napping after a special snowday milkbone. I did my grocery shopping yesterday in anticipation & have the ingredients for my favorite Russian soup. Too bad I forgot the beer! ;)

Stay safe, eleny!

:hi:

7. Say, why not post your soup recipe over in Cooking & Baking later?
Beer or no beer, it'll be great on a snowy day.

I love how dogs love snow. Maybe because they don't have to shovel? But they do have a joy about it that's catching.

9. Upstate can be brutal
I was born and raised in NYC and we lived in Woodhaven, Queens just a couple of blocks down from a park on a hill. I remember getting off the el train and walking up the hill at night in tears. The winds can sting like tiny needles.

I was just out making a narrow path out ot the street. It's a wet snow today. You know how you can shovel off a top layer and the bottom layer is slush? That's what's out there now. Oy!

We could use of these ...

10. I love those spring snows.
I love how you can see everything turning green underneath as it melts. This is going to make spring in Colorado green and beautiful. :)

18. Finally we get some snow............
I noticed we haven't gotten much snow this year, until today of course. I love the snow or when it's snowing but I hate having to drive around in it. Personally I would rather it be snowing because I can't stand hot weather.
