Ikea to open in Centennial in Fall of 2011
Heard this news on the radio this morning. There was talk a few years ago but now it looks like they're really going to do it.

IKEA announced yesterday that it has hired contractors and acquired a work-site permit for its future Denver-area store. The grand opening is scheduled for Fall 2011.

1. Now, if we could just get a Trader Joes
 (I'd prefer the TJ, actually)

2. Me too!
I read that it's our liquor laws that keep them from opening here. :(

3. What's so Byanzite about liquor laws that's keeping TJ from opening up?
Didn't we change that law three or four times already? We got rid of the blue book laws, I think.

4. I've only been out here for three years

but from the way I understand it, a business entity can only possess one liquor license. So Trader Joe's could only sell wine (I think that is what they are known for) in one store. It wouldn't make much business sense for a grocer to only open one store in Colorado.
