Now let's get real Dems in!
John Salazar and Betsy Markey are gone.
That eliminates ALL blue dogs representation in Colorado in the House. We still have one in the Senate who barely squeaked by.

Which was a republican stronghold for decades, I've been told (and I include Markey's two years in that). We are a small "progressive" city in a sea of cowboys and cowboy wanna-be's. I'm not sure what we can do to change the culture round these parts.
Edit: Adding - and even at the university there are professors who would make your skin crawl. One prof called Priuses "faggot" cars. I think that comment finally got this "distinguished" professor an invitation to retire.

2. Yeah. The big problem here in the 4th is that the alternative to Blue Dogs like Markey are... |
|
teabaggers like Cory Gardner.
It's not going to take long to see what a douche he is...
FOCO can be decently progressive - even in the teabagger surge, on the state level, we did reelect John Kefalas and Randy Fisher to the state House again.
