1. It's never short enough for me
I dread the return of heat and sunshine.

2. It was up in the 90s here earlier in the week
I'm looking forward to some warm weather. But it hit like a hammer and then plunged 60°. Yesterday it never got above about 34° around here all day. We had some snow, sleet, rain and lastly some tiny hail until it settled back into gentle rain.

8. Earlier in the week it felt like mid July and then Wednesday it didn't get over about 34° all day
We had a 60° drop. One day it was mid summer and the next it was snowing in my neighborhood.

Looks like the grass and other plantings loved it, though. :hi:

12. Over on the west slope
We have had the longest, coolest, most beautiful spring ever. Just turned summer this week with low 90 temps for a few days. Nights still in the mid 40's. Snow still covers mountains and river run off is increasing. Due to the prolonged spring the river levels are not expected to get dangerously high as they have been running at near high levels for 2 months already. I anticipate we will see some snow pack remain over the summer like the old days. Snow above Telluride the day Bluegrass ended.

13. I keep hearing the weather this year referred to as "the old days"
I remember cooler springs, long autumns and summer that falls like an anvil and starts disappearing in August. We'll see how it goes. The anvil sure fell today.

All in all it's not so bad. I just don't want to use the ac so much.

I'm glad to learn that you aren't too worried abut flooding over there. How are the fruit crops shaping up this year?

14. Fruit crops are spotty due to erradic freezes
In the old day's snow stayed on most of the 14eer's in pockets all summer, St. Mary's Glacier was really a glacier.
I keep thinking that if the spring was so typically "spring like" I know that summer will be totally "summmer".
July/August come the heat.
