Occupy Fort Collins is sticking around. The group assembled at the intersection of College Avenue and Maple Street in Fort Collins at noon Monday, and after a "general assembly" at 6 p.m., decided to maintain a continuous and indefinitely long presence.
Three people stayed overnight Monday, including Dan Michniewicz, 24, who said police stopped by to discuss ground rules about 8 p.m. He said about 100 people attended the general assembly, and another meeting is planned for tonight.
Police said the group was welcome to stand on the corner but could make no encampment or erect any structures, Michniewicz said.
"They told us we could be out here, but no camping, or anything that looked like camping," he said ...
