13 Colo. delegates faithful to Kucinich
Boston - Fifty for Kerry. Thirteen for Kucinich.

That was the Colorado delegation's vote Wednesday in nominating the Democrats' presidential candidate.

The delegates came to the convention as the most divided in the nation, with 14 of 63 committed to Dennis Kucinich even though the liberal Ohio congressman backed out of the race last week and now supports Kerry.

Okay, I don't get it. It's bad enough that I live in a state filled with gun-toting - homophobic - chickhawk motherfuckin' - right wing assholes....and my delegates go to Boston to "make a statement"??? Colorado WILL be a player in November, but these idiots don't understand that.

Fuck em'

1. Oh, cmon
get over it. They have a right to vote for who they wanted. I watched the roll call and almost every delegation where DK got votes said, "We are all going to work for John Kerry".

2. Sure. Whatever.
"There was a little arm twisting," said Denver sculptor Vicki Rottman. "The people back home sent us here to back Dennis Kucinich, and it's our responsibility to honor that."

Did these 14 people say they were going to work for John Kerry? I didnt' see the Colorado roll call....so can someone tell me what was said?

3. They reported their vote
then stated that all the delegates were committed to electing Kerry/Edwards.

I feel it shows that the party is not a bunch of mindless dittohead lemmings like the publicans and that splitting the vote shows that diversity is still welcomed and consequently makes the party stronger.

4. Gee, I thought Kucinich dropped out?
Appreciate the info...but I'm not sure who "they" are?

Am I over-reacting? Probably. I just don't understand why Colorado was so divided.

5. You asked about the Colorado roll call vote.
That is the they I reported. The post script showed that Colorado is not divided.

Since you are so inspired, please join me in walking the residential blocks and knocking on doors in Denver.

7. Thanks for working where you are! Colorado IS IN PLAY!
It will take a concerted effort, but I believe we can deliver a Democratic Senator and all our electoral votes 11/2.
