KERRY--EDWARDS RALLY ON WEDNESDAY, AUG. 4:
The time at which people wishing to carry signs and attend the
Kerry--Edwards Rally tomorrow, Wednesday, August 4, near the
Jeffco Fairgrounds, on South Indiana Street, has been changed.
The rally is being held to show support for Kerry--Edwards when
Dick Cheney comes to the Jeffco Fairgrounds for a speech.
The time for people to meet at Jeffco Democratic Headquarters
tomorrow, is 12:00 noon instead of 1:00 p.m. to pickup or make
signs to carry at the rally tomorrow. The time to meet has been
changed because of a need to be at the rally site (Indiana South of
6th Avenue) before security arrives and to accomodate parking.
We recommend that people carpool from Jeffco Democratic
Headquarters at 8745 W. 14th Ave., Suite 110, or park on the frontage
road east of Indiana or at Colorado Mills Mall on the west side and
walk south on Indiana to the rally site.
Bring only positive Kerry--Edwards signs that contain the positive
themes of his campaign for e.g. "Hope is on the Way" or "Help is
on the Way" in order that the Secret Service and security don't
think we are a protest group and herd us to a site so far away that
we can't be seen.
Wear hats, bring raingear, just in case and sunscreen and remember
to stay off the street and keep the sidewalk free. No literature
distribution or negative signs. You can wear t-shirts for your favorite
democratic candidate.
