Please try to submit brief LTTEs to the weekly Reminder newspaper. It's free & anonymous and very easy. I've had one published weekly from October until this week, and sometimes more than one published. Since I missed getting one in this week, I'm asking for others to submit an occasional letter advocating a progressive cause. (Sorry, Sarah...)

Heck, you can probably submit a Speak Out item even if you're not from East of the River, as long as you put an East of the River town in there - Vernon, Manchester, Tolland, Storrs, Glastonbury, Ellington, Enfield, Norwich, New London, Colchester, Bolton, Hebron, etc are towns you can use.

1. Will do--Speak Out is my very favorite thing to read--my friend used

to come over every Thursday just so we could read them to each other--now that he lives in TX, I have to read them to him from time to time over the phone. I keep meaning to send progressive messages in but I always forget. Thanks for the push.

Speak Out seemed to be dominated by RW types, as it was all bashing "Fahrenheit 9/11" - so, I started writing in back then.

5. No, it's not always me

I've had as many as four in one week in the past, but most of the time get 1 or 2 in there. There are a few other speak outers that are on the progressive side. If you see something on universal or national health care, though, that's been me.

They have butchered a few of mine by chopping a bit off, and there are others besides me that contribute left of center material.

I also have to compose a response to that anti DeLay Republican, too.
