Rell wants to run against Blumenthal...
Edited on Sun Jun-26-05 09:55 AM by Liberalgirl788
She must be off her rocker if she thinks she can beat Dick Blumenthal. When people are reminded that Jodeeee was John Rowland's right hand girl it will be all over for her.

1. It would be a tough fight for Blumenthal
The Democrats ceded the moral high ground to Rell when she outfoxed them on campaign finance reform...

2. I disagree. 16 years since the last Democratic governor.
We in CT are looking for change. Every poll taken puts Rell no more than 5% in front of Blumenthal and she is about 2% behind Dodd.

Yes it will be a fight, but we can win.

3. I haven't seen those polls
I was surprised when I saw polls that indicated she was ahead of even Dodd & Lieberman. BTW, I don't think Lieberman is going to retire - I think he should run for governor.

5. He won't do it
Edited on Mon Jun-27-05 04:55 PM by connecticut yankee
He wants to stay in Washington, where he can do the most good for Israel.

I'd love to see Blumenthal run -- I think he'd make a wonderful Governor. But he won't do it unless it's a sure thing. He's afraid of losing and having nothing. I can't understand how such a fearless AG can be so timid in this case.

4. Does Rell think Bysiewicz will beat her?
My DTC endorsed Susan Bysiewicz for governor in March of this year.

6. I think Rell will be tough for anybody to beat
The "librul" media in the state seems to love her, and that is tough to overcome.

8. Rell will fall
Rell is just on an extended Honeymoon but voters especially Democrats who give her a positive approval rating right now will support Blumenthal, Bysiewicz, Sullivan or any other Democrat before they support John Rowlands main squeeze.

9. I hope you're correct
The fact that CT has had lousy job growth the last 15 years under Republican & former Republican governors (Weicker) should give the good guys some impetus.
