Called Lieberman's office just now about the Republican KAT inquiry

I wanted to know why the Senator is giving any credibility to this Republican lead inquiry into Katrina's bungled response that was announced a few days ago. I heard the Senator and Sen. Susan Collins of ME will be leading their own investigation into Katrina's response until the Congressional inquiry starts and then they will join that inquiry. I asked why the Senator didn't join Harry Reid in his condemnation of the Republican inquiry. To me that says he approves of the partisan hackery going on by the Republicans, and I don't like it one bit.

The lady on the phone told me that Lieberman and Collins are holding their own investigation which is not partisan, but she didn't understand my point about Lieberman giving credibility to the Rep inquiry. I explained myself very clearly once again, and the lady was busy typing on the other end of the line. I could hear her. SHe didn't respond so I just hung up after saying I am a CT Democrat and would be keeping an eye on the Senator's moves.

I am so sick of Republicans... especially when they have a (D) next to their name in the papers.
