I'm in Fairfield County.

I prefer Mohegan. Spanish 21 and Blackjack are both fine.

(Just got my plates at the Bridgeport DMV, and the thieves charged an arm and a leg... bad enough having to go to Bridgeport... grr...)

I had to move down the interstate from Springfield, and I'm not too up on the political boundaries here yet. I only know Rowland sucks. Is there a Hartford County? I'm in the 'burbs just south of the city.

I live in New London County too, about a 10 minute drive to either casino. We are not high rollers--just go with our quarters once in a while. We both prefer Mohegan Sun.

Having spent (wasted?) a year living in the Las Vegas area in the middle '90s, I've had enough of casino culture to last me a lifetime! As such, I don't plan to visit either Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun any time this millennium.

I played a gig at Foxwoods once (Cajun music) -- very surreal! And went to Mohegan Sun to see Brave Combo (gonzo polka band from Texas) -- equally surreal!

Other than that, I avoid the casinos: have they banned smoking in them?

And my dad taught at the middle school for about 10 years.

Then we moved to West Hartford, which is in Hartford County. (I now live in Mass.)

I hate both of the casinos, though I have been to the Sun for basketball games.

But, the price of plywood skyrocketed after the invasion of Iraq, so the builder was forced to raise their price by a not insignificant amount while we were negotiating. Ended up finding a place in Ellington to build.

We moved to West Hartford around Thanksgiving in 1977. I was a kindergartner at Parker.

I still go to the dentist in Tolland, though. :)

Town of Barkhamsted, where peoples state forest is located. wife and i are on land trust, conservation and shes a P&Z alternate that ran democrat and got smeared by a repub postcard mailer 3 days before lection!

Mohegan Sun - not that I've ever been there, but they sponsor an IHRA Top Fuel Dragster, one of about two nitro cars in CT!
