Feb. 21, 2006 Meet and Greet with Ned Lamont, Democrat for US Senate
Meet Ned Lamont http://www.nedlamont.com. on Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at 06:30 pm at the Killingly Community Center and find out why Sen. Joe Lieberman is headed into retirement in 2006.

Mr. Lamont is a successful businessman who wants to help get Democrats, who will fight for core Democratic principles, elected to the Senate and House and to return America to responsible fiscal and foreign policies.

Ned Lamont supports
  • Building a Realistic Defense for America and getting out of Iraq by implementing the Lawrence Korb plan http://www.americanprogress.org/site/pp.asp?c=biJRJ8OVF&b=1069345
  • An end to illegal domestic spying and strong protection of our civil liberties
  • Universal healthcare
  • Making energy conservation, bio fuels and other alternative energy programs a top national priority
  • Creation of a 21st century public education system that is the best in the world

Mr. Lamont is a graduate of both Harvard and the Yale School of Management. He started his career working for a small newspaper in Vermont and then entered the cable TV business. After helping Cablevision start its Fairfield County operations, he successfully founded his own company, Lamont Digital Systems, to build and operate advanced telecommunications networks for college campuses. Ned Lamont serves on the Business Advisory Group at Brookings Institution, a private nonprofit organization devoted to independent research and innovative policy solutions.

As a businessman, Ned Lamont understands the importance of health care and education to our economy. He will fight for universal health care. He will work tirelessly to bring all of America's schools into the 21st Century. He will fight to get the federal government out of our private lives and help put an end to illegal domestic spying. He will take on the special interests in Washington to push for energy conservation and bio fuels development as national priorities. And he will demand that corrupt public officials be held accountable for their actions.

Ned Lamont is running first because he loves his country and is deeply concerned about its current direction; and second because like most Connecticut Democrats, and most Americans, he is tired of being represented by a senator who is not willing to stand up to the President on the war and on the rest of his judicial, fiscal, and environmental policies that are destroying our country.

Ned Lamont will be a forceful new voice in the Senate, speaking for the needs of all his constituents in Connecticut and the nation, and speaking out against the destructive Bush administration policies that directly threaten our civil liberties and our nation's security.

Come meet Ned Lamont at the Killingly Community Center, Cafeteria room, on Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at 06:30 PM. Ned will share his vision for our country and discuss his solutions for the difficult problems Connecticut and the nation are facing together. Talk with others about meeting Ned Lamont. You can sign up on Ned's website, http://www.nedlamont.com.

Let's spread the word! It's time for a change in the US Senate delegation from Connecticut and long past time for a fresh voice, who will stand up for us, fight for our core Democratic principles, and not rush to give aide and comfort to incompetent and corrupt Republicans. Ned Lamont is a real Democrat running for the US Senate in Connecticut.

The Killingly Community Center address is 185 Broad Street, Danielson, CT 06239. 2. Thanks.
Well, if he wants to be US Senator from CT he should realize that Fairfield, New Haven, and Hartford are only part of the state.
