1. I haven't seen it but I heard on WNPR that she's freaking out
It will be so nice to show her the door.

4. I've seen her response ad
It gives a bunch of newspaper quotes about how radical MoveOn allegedly is, mostly focusing on the discredited charge that MoveOn compared Bush to Hitler, and demands that Murphy denounce what the ad calls his "Washington cronies". I have to say that it looks like an effective counterattack, especially for an audience that doesn't follow politics as closely as DU correspondents do.

5. I caught the tail end of the counter attack
I missed most of it.
I was hoping to see it agian. I did not realize what it was untill I saw the red hand, Then it dawned on me that it must be the counter attack.

I will try to catch it next time around
I just got an email from Factcheck.org on Caught "Red Handed"

here is a link

15. You could look on the bright side
There is no way that Nancy would even consider an attack ad at this point if she weren't starting to get worried (Incumbents usually ignore challengers entirely and would NEVER run an ad now) Her ad also raises Murphy's profile (something I'm sure her advisers thought long and hard about) because, even though I am a political junkie, I had never even heard Murphy's name before. I'm in Simmons district and I would love to see Colin McEnroe have Sean McNally on his show (I haven't heard Colin lately so I might have missed it if McNally has already been on) because Sean gave the totally ineffectual party-endorsed nominee a really good race and only lost because of the money raising power of the completely useless state party machine. Lamont is showing some signs of having profited from any weaknesses that were disclosed by Sean's loss so I would be interested to hear Sean's take on the Lamont race. Maybe Colin could have him on, sort of the way he has Bill Curry on when his insights are relevant.

8. Colin McEnroe ripped the ad
Said that there are plenty of reasons to vote against Johnson, so there should have been no need to tie her to Abramoff when she has no ties to Abramoff.

9. how does Colin know she's not tied in with Jackoff since he's in CT &
Johnson's in DC? I she flying down there regularly to go through her documents? Doubt it.

12. You know what? I agree
There's plenty to fight her on. Plenty that will resonate right here in CT, too. Scatter-shot won't help as much as right on target.

I'd really like to see Chris beat her. Allowing him to get labelled with some "radical" name-tag isn't going to allow him to do that. (And I don't think Moveon is radical, but that's where the argument is going to go, and a good number of people in CT will buy it).

14. I would have rather seen an ad showing how much money she
took from the pharmaceutical industry. And how much her prescription drug plan will cost old people. People get that, her working against old people for big business.

16. this is something Chris Murphy is hammering her on but there are a lot of
people who just love her grandmotherly smile and they don't give a damn what she's doing in WAshington
