HARTFORD, Conn. -- U.S. Sen. John Kerry plans to make a quick campaign stop in Connecticut on Friday, a day after he is nominated as the Democrat's presidential candidate, a top state Democrat said Wednesday.

George Jepsen, chairman of the state Democratic Party, said he received confirmation Wednesday morning that Kerry will appear at a "mini-rally" in West Hartford.

"My understanding is they are kicking off a campaign swing," Jepsen said. "This will be at the very beginning of it."

1. Get off I-84 at the Park Road exit.
2. At the bottom of the ramp, turn right.
3. You immediatley hit a light, go left.
4. 100 feet, on your left, is Norfeldt Field.
