Damn, it's hot!
96 degrees in Willimantic. Just turned on the A/C for the first time all summer.

Not that I didn't want to turn on the A/C before, but the cost of electricity has skyrocketed. Thanks again, rich bastards!

2. BTW: when I was a kid, I once built a model of the Bonhomme Richard.
I had a childhood love of sailing ships. I also built models of the Cutty Sark, Charles W. Morgan, Santa Maria, Constitution, and Mayflower, among others.

3. OH I know!
The AC hasn't been on much lately but I today I feel like I'm going to faint so on went the AC.

Tomorrow is suppose to be worse but the weekend looks much better.

4. I closed all the windows and pulled down all the shades
in the house. When it is this humid letting outside air in makes things worse, unless of course you have no a/c. I have the dehumidifier going in the basement and two a/c's--one in the bedroom and one in my computer room. The one in the bedroom has an energy saver control and I have it at 70 degrees. The one in our spare (computer) room is an older one. I have that one on low. So far everything I've been doing is working well. I had to go out earlier today and when I stepped back in the house it almost felt like stepping into central a/c compared to how it felt outside. My finace made the same comment. My animals are happy too. I can hardly wait for this thing to pass. I don't ever remember it being THIS miserable since I've lived in CT.

5. It's definitely gross out....
Today's worse than yesterday, I think... we've got our AC running in Economy mode at 74 or 76 degrees, generally, and I still can't wait to get our electricity bill. Egads.
