CT-Sen: Everybody can help Lamont with simple GOTV tool!!!
Daily Kos has a post about a simple, but elegant on-line GOTV tool which allows anybody to mail a postcard to as many CT residents as you know. Best of all, the cost of postage and postcard is on the Lamont campaign.

DO IT NOW!

From Kos:

How does it work?

1.) Log on
2.) Look up people you know in Connecticut
3.) Write a message to them
4.) It gets placed on a physical postcard mailed to that person (on the Lamont campaign dime).

Here's that link again:
Lamont: Family, Friends, and Neighbors
Just do it.

3. That has always been true
and is often invoked by frustrated candidates who realize the somnolent remnant that stumbles to the polls reflecting the homogenized mediocrity of distracted public judgment could be simply be overwhelmed by passionate turnout. The good examples of this are too few and some bad examples balance them out, of people moved by conned rage into voting for an obvious crook. Real GOTV is a fraction of what could change elections from the mob middle and the slim margins really in ground campaign play to a real decision of the whole people.

But in Ct. the volunteers and party supports should belong to Lamont. Turnout would also push Dems favoring Joe Lieberman to the polls. So they can tighten the race with energy, for sure. Winning based on disciplined voters and overwhelming GOTV I think is still a dream. It happens in primaries because the mob middle stays home and the smaller pool of committed voters respond more naturally and positively to the program. This year it is still plain that the decision rests on the general mood of disaffection of voters of all parties and that OUR money and actions are matching those of the GOP very well. In Ct. the balances are different, crazy, but it does not give the automatic winning advantage to Dem GOTV. That, bluntly, has to be earned with extraordinary effort and swelling volunteer armies.
