"LIEberman will stick with Democrats" New Haven Register
At least they admonish him a little in the final paragraphs of the editorial

" Lieberman isn’t beholden to any one bloc of voters for his victory. He needed the votes of all three major voting groups — Republican, Democrat and unaffiliated — to win. The result is a message that Lieberman should legislate from the middle, not the left or right.

The vote total also suggests some humility is in order. Slightly more than half of state voters wanted someone else in the Senate. The coalition that supported Lieberman is precarious. Liberal anger at the senator has not abated.

Lieberman feels liberated to go his own way. But he should not repeat the mistake of losing touch with his supporters and state that caused his brush with political death. "

1. Look what Ned gets to see for his 16M
I am disgusted to see how our Democrats are fawning over George Bush’s favorite Democrat. Did they forget how he abandoned our party and how the majority of Repukes voted for him and even gave him money? If our political leadership thinks it’s OK to support somebody who runs outside of our party….why should we be loyal? I’ve never voted for a Republican maybe I should be more like our leadership and forget party loyalty. I bet Ned feels real good watching our leaders fall over Joe after investing 16 Million dollars of his cash to try and save us.

3. Republican Joe
I wonder what percentage of the Republican vote Joe got? Repukes didn't back their own guy because they wanted Joe to win and they made it happen! Ned's out 15 Million and we're out a real Democratic Senator.

6. If I run into him at my diner in Westville
he won't shake MY hand. Not that he would visit my diner any more since he doesn't really live in New Haven or CT for that matter any more.

Well, he can sit on his ass in D.C. for all I care. He and Hadassah both. I have nothing but contempt for this bastid.

And as for those good Dems who said they were "stickin' with Joe"? I'll just bet that some of them will be having "buyers remorse" real soon. His true colors will come out!

7. I agree.
I think a lot of people who voted for him were asleep (as I was the two times I voted for him). Once they see how he votes (because I think they will pay more attention now) they will see why we voted against him. Of course I will have no sympathy for anyone who tells me they kinda liked Lamont but voted for Lieberman because they just weren't sure.

8. I'm trying to be kind but it's hard
Some Dems who voted for Joe are just irrational about him. Some I know in our neighborhood are all tangled up on the issue of Israel, so that is too emotional for them to be rational.

One day we'll be proven right. Sigh, I hate being right...and losing!
