Heard on the radio the other day - Rell likely to run again in 2010

so, we have a couple of years to put a dent into her Snow White image...

1. Heard via the Dem Party grapevine that Blumenthal plans on running for Gov in 2010

He hasn't officially announced so don't know if Rell will scare him out of the race or not.

2. He's been talked about for at least a decade

as a possibility for governor or senator, yet had not taken the plunge. He's got an easy political life as AG and will likely not be seriously challenged in 2010 unless he's the victim of a major scandal.

4. He's always been afraid to run

He likes being AG, and is assured of his position. And he's done an excellent job.

If he runs and loses, he'll have nothing (except for his millions).

I've spoken to him several times over the years,* and urged him to run for Gov., but he's always equivocated, and then not done anything.

For a fearless AG, he's not fearless when it comes to ambition. It's too bad, because he's immensely popular, competent, and would probably win.
