New rep. Chris Murphy has endorsed Barack Obama - here is the email I received from him tonight:

Today, I'm endorsing Senator Barack Obama for President, and I hope you will consider joining me.
As I've told so many people over the last three years, I decided to run for Congress not just because I wanted to give voice to the issues I care about, but also because I felt the need to act now to turn back the festering cynicism that is consuming both voters and political leaders. It pains me that so many people have so little faith in their government. And it hurts even more to know that their lack of faith is somewhat well-founded. Political timidity, government corruption, and the dumbing down of public discourse have given voters ample reason to turn their backs on civic participation.
And yet I believe this can all change. And it starts with the election of Barack Obama.
Senator Obama's rhetoric lifts us up, and in the process he gives us hope that a new President can force past all that divides this nation and rally us behind our common values and aspirations. Yes, I believe in Barack Obama's vision for health care, energy reform, and economic empowerment, but I care just as much about his ability to heal old wounds, both here at home and abroad. He is a unique figure, and I know we are ready to embrace him.
My endorsement of Barack Obama should not be taken as a rejection of Senator Hillary Clinton. She would make a great President as well. As Democrats, we suffer only from an abundance of qualified candidates. But as a member of a generation that came of age after the horrors of Watergate and Vietnam, I am still looking for that transformational political leader, that can deliver us from an abyss of cynicism and incrementalism that has consumed political life for far too long. For me, at least, I think I might have found him.
