I need some ideas re: a place to hold by brother's engagement party
If anybody thinks they know of a nice place in lower Fairfield County with enough room to seat about 55 people, I'd appreciate it if you could pass it on to me.

Her mother's condo complex has a little hall to rent, but it only had room for 40. Even with a handful of virtually guaranteed no-shows we're well over that.

Maybe someplace on the beach, or a golf clubhouse someplace...?

(Yes, I'm largely clueless about such things :-) )

1. I don't know if this helps but we had our wedding reception at
The Red Barn Restaurant in Westport.

http://www.redbarnrestaurant.com/

It is right off of the Merritt Pkwy at Exit 42. It was in the late 90's, but it still appears to be owned by the same people.

Good luck!

3. Longshore Club in Westport
It's right on the water and I think they have a variety of sizes of rooms from which to choose.

They also do outdoor parties.
