1. I hope Malloy can raise enough money to
compete effectively against Foley. I do not want to see that creepy Foley elected.

2. well, Malloy isn't afraid to go negative
and Foley, with his arrest record and ties to John Rowland, certainly has enough negative about him for ammunition.

3. Malloy has plenty of skeletons in his closet in Stamford
and the current mayor of Stamford is a Republican, who after an audit, found out that 2 city employees, who were named employees of the month when Malloy was Mayor and had worked under Malloy, were found embezzling city funds and they had started embezzling funds when Malloy was still Mayor. I bet you will see that in a Foley ad because it speaks volumes about Malloy's poor leadership skills.

Malloy's biggest asset will be Nancy Wyman. She carried the ticket because she had higher name recognition than Malloy and is very well liked across the state.

4. I wasn't a big fan of Malloy or Lamont
I thought Susan Bysiewicz should have stayed in the race... But, not knowing about two employees embezzling money is a far cry from Foley's attempted assault on his then soon to be ex-wife. Granted, the media might make them equivalents. We need to tie Foley to the disgraced John Rowland as well - Rowland is supposedly acting as an unpaid adviser to Foley.

5. The Media tried to make the Lamont negative attacks on Malloy = Malloy's lies about Lamont
so I'm sure CT's media will help Foley more than Malloy.

6. Of course
not knowing your employee is stealing from you is far worse than beating your wife.

8. I supported Susan B. first too
but now with the results of the AG's report on her using the voter database for her campaigns, it looks like her political career is over. Sad. She was one of the few CT politicians that I actually liked.

I'll be unenthusiastic with the governor's race this year, but I have plenty of other candidates to support. I'm going to be Team Captain for Joe Courtney from my town.

Tomorrow's vote in the State House about overriding Rell's veto of the CEP reforms, will be a key vote for Malloy because if it passes Malloy will get $6 million to battle Foley, but if it doesn't, he'll only get $3 million. They are worried that too many lawmakers are on vacation.

9. I guess it's better that Bysiewicz is out now
imagine if the voter db thing had happened when it did if she had won the gubanatorial nomination at the convention?

10. It's interesting how the top 2 Dems -- Bysiewicz and Blumenthal -- are either out or
heading into trouble. Blumenthal started with a 35 or 25 pt lead and now is down to a 10 pt lead. I expect the race to tighten and I worry about Blumenthal because he hasn't worked in a competitive race in a long time, if ever.

11. I'm inherently pessimistic
and, I don't recall Blumenthal ever having a competitive race. If it was, it was a long time ago.

I got a fundraising email from John Kerry earlier today asking for money for Blumenthal, so they must know they need to get out there and get on the air.
