I finally got power back today around 11:00 am. Yeah!!!!!

I lost it around 8:00 am Sunday, August 28. I was cleaning out my frig today because the dump wasn't charging for those bringing spoiled food when the power came back on.

Now I can watch my alma mater, Notre Dame, play USF today. I hope by the end of the game my electric water heater has heated enough water for me to bleach the inside of the frig.

This moring as I was passing by the local post office, that there were power utility trucks from Tennessee parked. This UCONN Husky fan sure didn't mind those Volunteers vixiting CT to fix out power lines. Thanks Tenn.

1. Woo hoo !

I was out from mid-morning Sunday until early Tuesday evening. Luckily, I have POTS (plain old telephone service) so my phone worked and gas hot water so I could shower. I had to throw out some food but had no other losses. Lots of folks around here still are without power/phone and many in East Haven lost their homes.
