Delaware's Occupy Protesters (unfortunately a rather small group) wants to move into a more business-area-visible location instead of the out of the way Brandywine Park location offerred by officials.snip-
Many in the group believed state officials were attempting to silence the protest by allowing them to camp in Brandywine Park, farther away from the city's government and corporate centers. In a striking sign of defiance, not a single hand rose when protesters called for a vote Sunday on whether to move to Brandywine Park, and the entire group broke out into laughter.
"This is not Camping Delaware. It's Occupy Delaware," said Akiva Dejack, 48, who has been out of work since February 2010 and is helping lead the protest. "The tents are the statement. If the tents are in a campground, that's not much of a statement."
But some members expressed concerns.
During a meeting of the Occupy group's general assembly, its voting body, member Bill Dunn argued that protesters should camp in Brandywine Park -- albeit away from the state's selected area. He worried a move to Spencer Plaza would create an unnecessary clash with authorities.
