Occupy Delaware protesters were still in a celebratory mood Friday -- a day after the activists approved an agreement with Wilmington authorities allowing them to set up an encampment in Peter Spencer Plaza indefinitely.
But activists said their work has just begun.
"Now that we've muddled through this process of forging an agreement with the city, and now that we have a legitimate place that we can call our occupation site, now the actual planning begins, and now the strategy begins," said Bill Fasano, an activist with Occupy. "And that means our action committee and our demands committee need to get active, and that means they need to forge a strategy for the actions that we'll have in terms of bringing awareness and education to the community for their problems."
Occupy Delaware, local supporters of Occupy Wall Street, have been protesting against a number of issues, including social and economic inequality, corporate greed and government inaction.
