Who's running for Governor in '08?
I've read that Ruth Ann Minner is term-limited out of office? Will the current Lieutenant Governor run to succeed Minner?

And would Minner possibly consider running for Biden's U.S. Senate seat, if Biden retires from the Senate to focus on his presidential run?

1. Biden won't leave the Senate.
He can't win the nomination and he knows it. He may run, but only in a cynical attempt to sell the book that he is going to write.

The pugs have spent the last few years swithching over to electronic voting. The next election cycle should feature repugs at the top, and it hardly matters who, does it?

3. When does Biden have to refile by?
What's the deadline for Biden to file for reelection to his Senate seat?

What if that deadline comes before the Democratic primaries begin?

2. I thought I had read somewhere that Minner was retiring from politics.
Don't know how old she is. I had spoken with some friends of Carney's family and mentioned a run for Governor (this was about 8 months ago) and they said they were not pushing him due to the all the devestating corruption that's in government, but they also said then that he had not made a decision yet. They said "You just can concieve how deep it runs in all aspects of government".

I, truthfully, would love to see Carney run.

4. Hell I can tell you who will be governor in 2012, 16, etc.
This is why I don't bother that much with Delaware because things are so wrapped up politically with the democratic party that outsiders don't stand a chance. Someone mentioned electronic voting in DE, but there aren't any strong republican candidates for statewide competition. Jane Brady is spoilt goods, if she ever tried running for governor they'd bring out the RAGA scandal (her and a few other repuke AGs were soliciting campaign dollars from the people they were suing). Mike Castle has already been governor and he would never run against Biden or Carper.

Minner is term-limited so in 2008 it'll be Carney who is nice but way too moderate for my taste. He's Lt. Gov will probably be Jack Markell who will be there until he runs for governor in 2016 - and he'll probably win.

This is why I travel to PA for my political fulfilment
