Should we make Delaware part of Maryland or New Jersey?

9. The North goes to PA, --MD can have Slower Delaware
The only downside is losing the opportunity to drive a few miles to get tax-fee big-ticket purchases and cheap gas

11. Who gets the chickens
I'll take the beaches, leave NorDel to PA/NJ
Maryland doesn't want NOVA
Assimilate DE and make the Metro DC area the 50th state: Colombia

12. Why not make something else become part of Delaware?
Edited on Fri Oct-07-05 03:57 PM by Pacifist Patriot
I kind of like the idea of annexing a Caribbean island as part of the state.

14. If you knew your history, you would know that..
Delaware was originally part of Pennsylvania and was broken off during colonial times. Pennsylvania is the obvious candidate.

But why would we want to get rid of 2 Democratic Senators from Delaware?

18. I had to vote for New Jersey...
...it's where I live and most of Delaware looks like South Jersey anyway. Oh yeah, we get our gas pumped here too, that is true! But DE is a great state-why incorporate it into another (except to find some way to get rid of Santorum right now-a state can have only two senators, sorry Ricky-you ain't it).

19. Well I'm not in love with your two Senators
But I'd rather have two more safe seats for the Democratic caucus then not have them.
