So it was Spring of 2002 and my ex-husband and I (well, we were married then) took a road trip with the kiddos from Connecticut to Virginia to stay with his sister for a week. Nice lady by the way. She lived in Maine for a number of years and when the kids were grown, they moved to Virginia.
Anyway, we had a lovely time and all that fun stuff. However, on the way home, our youngest son, who at the time was still nursing, wanted a little mommy boobie time. OK fine (plus the older ones were all due for a potty stop anyway), so we took the next exit and proceeded to a nearby Dairy Queen.
Philip got to have his nursies, the older kids got to have a snack and use the bathroom. We were getting everyone situated in the car when suddenly this dumb lady backed into our parked minivan and put a huge dent in the back door. We had zero fault here and she was well-insured, but it made the trip take 2 hours longer and was a pain in the butt. We were all okay, but sadly enough, that describes my only Delaware experience thus far.
That being said, I'm an optimistic woman and I hope that one day the state of Delaware and I will meet again under better circumstance.
