of Joe Lieberman - If I can't get in on the Dem ticket, I'll run on the Independent ticket. I think she's just gonna split the vote and ensure that Castle stays in. I think I'm going with Spivak. That will be the first time that I voted AGAINST Castle. If I saw him face to face, I'd tell him the same thing. Like I told a friend who's working on Carper's campaign, I think the most important strategy for 2006 is vote for whoever has a D next to their name as long as they could remotely be construed as having Dem/Liberal values, etc. We don't need any Repubs play/acting that they're Dems. When we take back the House and Senate is when we can get picky over the more refined niceties. Essentially right now we need warm bodies on the correct side of the aisle. I think Castle is easily led by his party. Let's face it. Biden is the strongest political personality we have in DE. Carper is a "nice guy" but not very assertive, and he comes from a strong Christian Republican background, which may explain some of his voting.
One thing that does concern me about Spivak is that he worked on someone's campaign quite awhile ago. Talked to them recently and they thought he couldn't hold a candle to Castle. Don't know, and that was many years ago. I'm willing to give him a try if it gives Delaware 3 Dem seats, especially if he could be a real Dem and not DLC. Tom wants them to play nice with the other side of the aisle, and IMO this is not the time for that.
