MEMORIAL TO 3,000 US TROOPS KILLED IN IRAQ
Saturday January 6
Concord Pike at Concord Square
(Borders, Super G, CompUSA)
11 am to noon
We will have black armbands, and we ask you to wear black (or the darkest color you have). We will also be holding black crepe paper and will have other visuals. The Iraqi dead will also be remembered.
We invite you to join us every week*, but it is important to have a big turnout when this happens. Many, many people see us when they travel on the Concord Pike, and we need to call particular attention to the ongoing war/occupation at a time like this. Sponsored by the Sept. 11th Coalition for Just & Peaceful Initiatives of Pacem in Terris. For more info, call 302-656-2721.
*Other weekly vigils include: Fridays: from 5-6 pm in Newark at the intersection of Main St. and S. College Ave.; Wilmington from 5-6 in Wilmington on Delaware Ave. at the I-95 overpass; Kennett Square from 4-5 pm at the corner of Union and State Streets, Dover on Thursdays from 4 -5 pm at the Dover Post Office, and Sundays in Lewes from 1 – 1:45 pm at the corner of Savannah & Kings Highway.
