Happy Harry's Alan Levin opts to not run for gov, leaves Mike Protack as only repuke choice
I guess it's another 4 years of democrats in the state house. I saw Levin as a serious threat but seriously, Protack has been nothing more than a repuke nutjob, so nutty that even the repukes don't want him.

Levin won't run for governor
By BETH MILLER, The News Journal

Alan B. Levin

News Journal file
Alan B. Levin said this morning he will not run for governor of Delaware, ending the hopes of Republicans that the former CEO of Happy Harry’s pharmacy would help them end the Democrats’ decade-long hold on the state’s highest elected office.

“This is a personal decision, a change of life that I wasn’t really committed to at this time,” Levin said. “I like my privacy, I like my home life, I like traveling. There are a lot of things I would have had to give up – obviously during the campaign but also over the next four years if I was successful in the race.”

Levin said he and his wife, Ellen, made the decision together.

“What confirmed it for me was that I had a knot in my stomach the last two months over this thing. As soon as I made the decision to do this two nights ago, that went away.”

The knot now may be in the gut of the Republican Party.

Levin’s decision leaves the GOP with one candidate – Hockessin pilot Mike Protack – in a race against whoever wins the Democratic primary between Lt. Gov. John C. Carney Jr. and State Treasurer Jack A. Markell.

1. Nice Post!
I always love watching the Delware blogs. There are many hardened dems from Delaware.
I wanted to ask about the senate and rep. races? I am very interested in widening the majority of our lead in the houses.
Im supporting William J Meyers for my district (IA-4) but we got a real juiced in Republican, Tom Latham, who seems to be supported by all the pukes in Washington. Here is his link, if you'd like to check him out,

If there is any links to the candidates your supporting, send them to me, if you have a moment. I know, if we all mobilize we can have both houses and the presidency. Wouldn't that be great?

Thank you for your time and interest
