The GOP thought they would have a hot button issue, in Wisconsin in 2006, when they pulled the same stunt.
The ban passed, but the GOP lost the races for Governor and control of the state Senate and a Congressional seat.
Immediately after the election, the new Republican Attorney General said that the issue was dead, as there were too many federal lawsuits pending. The state was not going to waste money fighting lawsuits, that others are already arguing....this was also at a time when several courts ruled, some states bans were unconstitutional. So states are figuring out if the wording is, in fact, legally sound.
Florida is not known as a real bastion of legal accuracy, so even if it passes. It will go nowhere.
It will be used to garner GOP votes because gays will ruin your home life, scare away all the orange juice drinkers, and cause all manner of mayhem with parking violations.
