Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink and Republican Rick Scott are in a dead heat in their race for governor, a new poll indicates today.
And ethics concerns are making the difference.
The Quinnipiac University Poll said Scott has 45 percent support and Democrat Sink is just one point behind him. That's a big shift from the 49-43 percent lead Scott had on Oct. 1 in another Quinnipiac Poll.
“Her image has improved while his has deteriorated. It would seem that the debate through television ads about their respective business careers may be the reason,” said Peter A. Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute. “At this point she is winning that debate handily and it is having an impact on the race."
