1. I voted a while back
but as I recall most were appointed by Republicans and it was a major pain to look them all up. Sorry I did not save my notes as it may have been a help.

2. Re Florida Supreme Court retentions and District Courts of Appeal judges:
Governor Crist appointed all four Supremes on the ballot, HOWEVER, Canady and Polston were the earliest picks and are very right wing.

Labarga and Perry were the most recent choices by Crist, and they are moderates. (That really ticked off the right wingers.)

IMHO, Canady and Polston should be booted out. Labarga and Perry should be retained.

This thread will help you decide.

Re other judges on your ballot, go to this link for District Courts of Appeal judges' bios for your specific district. For local county judges, google is helpful.

It helps to know who appointed them and when.

Hope this helps.

3. I fumbled through the judges bios a couple of days ago...
it's hard to determine without their judgements...didn't have time or energy to even see if those are available. It sure was fun finding the 5&6 amendment sites, though. Didn't have a clue as the language on the ballot almost sounded too good. It's a clear choice now that I've seen the no on 5&6 ad!
