I read the quote from the article about Deutch. It didn't mention Castor much at all.

I've heard that Deutch was a big favorite of Clinton. From what I've read, Deutch is more in the mold of a New Democrat. He was very supportive of Gore/Lieberman during the recount, so Gore may feel some loyalty towards Deutch.
